STIIIZY Helps Sponsor Charity Kickball Tournament To Help Raise Funds for Miracle League Field at Friendship Park
STIIIZY helped sponsor the 1st Annual “Kicking for a Cause” Charity Kickball Tournament organized by Orion Township in Michigan. STIIIZY Joint Efforts volunteers were on site to provide water and snacks to the athletes competing in the event. The Kickball Tournament invited teams from all over the area to compete both on the field, and in fundraising for the Miracle League field at Friendship Park.
The Miracle League works tirelessly to remove the barriers that keep children with mental and physical disabilities off the baseball field and lets them experience the joy of America’s favorite pastime! The barriers that many children with disabilities face arise from the natural grass fields used in conventional leagues and fields that prevent the functional operation of motorized wheelchairs and other assistive devices.
The funds that were raised by the teams go right back to the Miracle League of North Oakland Field to help build more rubberized turf fields that can accommodate wheelchairs and other assistive devices enabling all athletes to play! It’s more than just a game though the Miracle League truly understands that sports help children make new friends, build confidence and be included!
