Shryne Group joined forces with Last Prisoner Project to support inmates incarcerated for non-violent cannabis offenses
Shryne Group hosted a letter writing drive for the Last Prisoners Project at our office headquarters during the holidays. Shryne employees were invited to write postcards that would be sent to inmates across the country that are currently incarcerated due to cannabis related charges.
Last Prisoners Project is a team of cannabis industry leaders, criminal and social justice advocates, policy and education experts, and leaders in social justice and drug policy reform that are working tirelessly to end this fundamental injustice, and we’re proud to support their work.
The Last Prisoners Project’s letter-writing campaign aims to create much-needed connections with individuals that are incarcerated, and because of Covid-19 restrictions, visitations to correctional facilities have been limited – making an initiative like this more important than ever.
Our team was able to write over 40 postcards to send to incarcerated individuals across the country. After the success of the letter-writing campaign
n with our employees, STIIIZY decided to host another campaign at our flagship store, STIIIZY DTLA. This campaign extended the letter-writing opportunity to all customers visiting our retail. The combined efforts resulted in over 100 postcards being sent to different inmates across the country letting them know that they’re not alone and that someone is advocating on their behalf and supporting them along their journey.
