STIIIZY Teams Up With Heal the Bay to Remove Trash from LA’s Most Iconic Beach

STIIIZY “Joint Efforts” Volunteers Take Over the Beach at Santa Monica For Their First Employee Volunteering Outing

Shryne Group and our STIIIZY Squad have been actively involved in supporting difference makers and promoting social justice within our communities, but this is the first time that we’ve been able to extend the opportunity to our teammates at HQ here in Los Angeles. Our employee volunteer group called, “Joint Efforts” invited our teammates across different departments to put our organizational values into practice!

To accomplish this we partnered with Heal the Bay, an environmental nonprofit dedicated to making the coastal waters and watersheds in Greater Los Angeles safe, healthy, and clean. For 36 years, Heal The Bay has been a strong and trusted advocate for the Santa Monica Bay. Protecting the coastline, restoring our waterways, and speaking out for clean water policy are ways they work towards equity, safety, and access for all.

A few dozen Joint Efforts volunteers combed Santa Monica beach and collected nearly 40 lbs of refuse and over 150 cigarette butts and joint filters. The success of the first project undertaken by the Joint Efforts volunteers has set the foundation for our team to continue to focus on utilizing our employees to create an impact and lasting change in every community we’ve set up shop in across California and beyond!
