Shryne Group Supports Annual Gun Buyback Event Hosted by United Playaz
In 2020, joining the efforts of the family of George Floyd, Shryne Group helped to support the United Playaz annual gun buy-back event, hosted in partnership with the San Francisco Police Department and the San Francisco Mayor’s Office of Violence Prevention Services. Although the pandemic has helped to quell violent crime in San Francisco, gun violence and domestic violence remain a large problem in the city and throughout the Bay Area. Past iterations of the event have seen hundreds of firearms surrendered, and the 2020 event proved to be successful as well with a total of 228 firearms collected. By taking these guns off the streets and out of homes, this event acted as a major effort to help thwart more episodic gun violence.
